NACVA's globally recognized CVA designation is the most widely recognized business valuation credential and the ONLY National Commission for Certifying Agencies.

An initial requirement to becoming a CVA is that the applicant either be:

1.) A licensed Certified Public Accountant holding an active, valid, and unrevoked CPA license in their state.

2.) Hold a business degree and/or a master of business administration (MBA), or higher degree from an accredited college or university.

3.) Have 2+ years of full-time experience in business valuation and/or related disciplines.

After extensive training, testing and certification, those who have earned the CVA credential must recertify every three years in order to maintain their credential.
